GHOSTS is the solo project from Paul Mercer, the violinist best known for his work with the acclaimed ethereal neoclassical 5-piece, The Changelings.

Inspired by the instruments themselves, the pieces evoke the individual history of the instrument, whether it be an 18th century viola d'amore or an early Italian violin that spent part of its lifetime in Colonial India. The compositions feature electronically prepared antique violins, viola, and other "stringed" instruments such as tampura and autoharp.
